Yolanda Shashaty
My work has always been a combination of nature and abstraction, not anchored by any realistic perspective. . The paintings are from my imagination with inspiration from the real world. In my landscapes, there are unusual celestial and planetary events. The imagery in my abstract work.refers to both the dynamic microcosm of nature in cells and molecules along with the macrocosm of the oceans, planets and the universe. It’s what I call “otherworldly abstraction.” My work has been shown in New York, Washington, D.C. and Connecticut and is part of such major corporate collections as Met Life, AT&T and Exxon Mobil.
